Albert E. Stein Jr.

Albert E. Stein Jr. died at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center, Boston on May 21.
Born in Boston, he grew up in West Roxbury and lived in Canton until his move to Milton 42 years ago.
He was a graduate of Boston Latin School, class of 1948, and Dartmouth University-Amos Tuck School of Business.
Mr. Stein was a retired sales representative of MetLife Insurance, Braintree; a longtime general manager of A.L. Wells Oldsmobile, West Roxbury; a past treasurer of the West Roxbury Lions Club; a former member of West Roxbury Rotary Club; and an Army veteran of the Korean War.
He is survived by his wife, Elinor J. (Cox) Stein, of Milton; his children, Kathleen Daly and her husband, John, Donald Lake and his wife, Susan, and Robin Jarzembowski and her husband, Stephen, all of Milton, Elizabeth Lenane and her husband, John, of Hanson, Albert Stein III and his wife, Kelly, of Scituate and Andrew Stein and his partner, Ronald Dell’Artino, of Chicago; his sister, Alberta Canavan, of California; and 10 grandchildren.
He was the brother of the late Muriel Prest and Virginia Peterson.
A funeral service was held in the Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, North Quincy, on May 25. Burial was in Milton Cemetery.
