Alice T. (McElearney) Doyle, a resident of Milton for more than 45 years, died May 17 at the Queen Anne Nursing Home in Hingham after a lengthy illness.
Born in Cambridge, she was a graduate of St. Mary High School in Cambridge and Laboure Nursing School in Dorchester.
She was a private duty nurse at several area hospitals for many years. She later worked at Milton Healthcare Nursing Center for several years before her retirement in 2005.
Wife of the late William E. Doyle, she is survived by her children, Joseph E. Doyle and Michael E. Doyle, both of Quincy, James M. Doyle, of Dudley, and Christine M. MacLean, of Milton; and four grandchildren.
She was the sister of the late Mary Mahoney, Robert McElearney, Donald McElearney, Richard McElearney, Ralph McElearney and Kathleen Lebossiere.
A Mass of Christian burial was celebrated in St. Elizabeth Church on May 21. Burial was in Milton Cemetery.
Arrangements were by the Dolan Funeral Home.
