Alphonse P. Yenulevich died at UMass Memorial Hospital, Worcester, on March 2.
Born in Cambridge, Mr. Yenulevich was raised in South Boston and had been a resident of Milton for 50 years.
He was a retired salesman for Penobscott Shoe Co., a member of the St. Elizabeth Church Rosary Club and a Eucharistic minister.
A Navy veteran of World War II, he served as an ensign and was the recipient of the World War II Victory Medal, Atlantic Defense and several Merchant Marine medals.
Husband of the late Lorraine (Shortell) Yenulevich, he is survived by his children, Lorraine Hicks, of Maryland, and Ronald Yenulevich, of Hudson; his grandchildren, Brooke Hicks, Eric Yenulevich, Ryan Yenulevich and Lauren Yenulevich; his sister, Claire Johnson, of Braintree; and his brother, Bernard Yenulevich, of Falmouth.
He was the brother of the late Vincent Yenulevich, Francis Johnson, Eleanor Sullivan and Mae Calnan.
A funeral Mass was celebrated at St. Elizabeth Church on March 9.
Donations may be made to Kingsbury Center, 5000 14th St., Washington, D.C. 20011. The center benefits special needs for children.
