Amalia R. (Gabardi) Veneto, 98, of Quincy, died Feb. 23 at Marian Manor Nursing Home in South Boston.
Born in Cassano, Italy, she came to Boston at the age of 8. She was raised in Boston and resided in Milton before moving to Quincy.
She was a former member of the Squantum Women’s Club, Squantum Seniors and Wollaston Mothers.
Wife of the late Joseph A. Veneto, she is survived by her children, Theresa R. Forde, of Westford, Virginia M. Mirabito, of Danvers, A. Joseph Veneto, of Hingham, and Peter P. Veneto, of Scituate; 12 grandchildren; and 20 great-grandchildren.
She was the sister of the late Carlo Gabardi and Felice Gabardi.
A funeral Mass was celebrated in St. Agatha Church on Feb. 26. Burial was in St. Michael Cemetery, Boston.
