Ann D. Curran

Ann D. (Fitzpatrick) Curran, 89, died at Marina Bay Skilled Nursing Center, Quincy, on Sept. 5.
Born in Boston, Mrs. Curran grew up in South Boston and graduated from South Boston High School, class of 1938.
A 45-year resident of Milton, she formerly lived in Mattapan. An avid reader with a keen intellect, Mrs. Curran passed on her love of learning and the art of debate. She was a kind and supportive wife and mother who will be greatly missed.
Wife of the late William J. Curran, she is survived by her children, Mary M. Curran, Patricia A. Curran and William J. Curran Jr., all of Milton, and Christopher M. Curran, of Holden; her son-in-law, Michael Magnuson; her daughters-in-law, Susan Curran and Anne Curran; her grandchildren, Brendan Schultz, Brian Schultz, Timothy Schultz, Alison Dunn, Elizabeth Magnuson, Julia Magnuson, Nicole Curran, Paul Curran, Daniel Curran, Brandon Curran, Madeline Curran and William Curran; and her great-grandchildren, Patrick Schultz, Grace Schultz and Sydney Dunn.
She was the mother of the late Paul W. Curran (Pfc., U.S. Army), grandmother of the late Connor Magnuson, great- grandmother of the late Lily Schultz and Chloe Schultz, and sister of the late Arthur Doyle, Francis Doyle, John Fitzpatrick and Margaret Fitzpatrick.
A funeral Mass was celebrated at St. Agatha Church on Sept. 9. Burial was in Milton Cemetery.
