Anna M. Russo, 92, of Milton, died March 1 at the William B. Rice Eventide Home, Quincy.
Born in Boston and raised in Dorchester, she was a graduate of Dorchester High School and attended Wheelock College, graduating from Boston University.
She moved to Milton and worked in the family business, Hendries Ice Cream and White Brothers Dairy. She later worked for Dr. William Fehrnstrom, an optometrist in East Milton Square, for over 15 years.
A longtime Milton resident, she enjoyed
playing cribbage at the Milton Senior Center
and was a former volunteer at the Yarmouthport Library.
Wife of the late John C. Russo, she is survived by her sons, John F. Russo, of Milton, Paul E. Russo and his partner, James Tice, of Malden, and Philip
G. Russo and his wife, Virginia Russo, of Raynham; her grandchildren, John S. Russo and his partner, Lora Ramirez, Leanne M. Russo and her husband, Adam Dennison, William C. Russo, and Carolyn M. Russo; and her great-grandchildren, Abigail and James Dennison; and her sister, Marion M. Tourville, of Milton.
She was the sister of the late Francis M. Doyle.
A Mass of Christian burial was celebrated in St. Agatha Church on March 5. Burial was in Milton Cemetery.
