Annamay M. (Cassidy) Gioiosa, 92, died in Blue Hills Alzheimer’s Care Center, Stoughton, on March 16.
Born in Brockton, Mrs. Gioiosa graduated from Brockton High School and lived in Brockton until 1945 when she moved to Milton.
She began her working career as a sales clerk for Taymore Shoes, where she was employed until 1965. Later, she enjoyed an 18-year career with the U.S. Census Bureau before retiring in 1983.
An active member of St. Agatha Parish, she was a member of the St. Agatha Guild and supporter of St. Agatha bingo.
Wife of the late Edward A. Gioiosa, she is survived by her daughter, Anne M. Desmond, of Middleborough; her sons, Joseph E. Diamond, Edward Gioiosa and Daniel Gioiosa, all of Quincy, and John R. Gioiosa, of Bridgewater; eight grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
A funeral Mass was celebrated in St. Agatha Church on March 21. Burial was in Milton Cemetery
