Anne L. “Nancy” (Jennings) Coon died at home on June 29.
Born in Boston, she grew up in Brookline and was a graduate of St. Mary’s Elementary and High schools. A Milton resident for the past 36 years, she was formerly from Weymouth.
Mrs. Coon retired in 1989 after a 20-year employment as a manager for New England Telephone and Telegraph.
She was a past treasurer of the Submarine Veterans Wives Club of World War II.
Wife of the late Howard S. Coon, she is survived by her children, Michael B. Coon, of Burlington, Colette A. Skelly, of Mansfield, Lisa M. Coulter, of Milton, and Christopher P. Coon, of Whitman; her sister, Helen Valanzola, of Milford; and eight grandchildren.
She was the sister of the late Claire Regan and Paul B. Jennings.
A funeral Mass was celebrated at St. Elizabeth Church on July 2. Burial was in Milton Cemetery.
