Annie Mary (Kelly) Smith, died at home Sept. 21 after celebrating her 104th birthday Sept. 19.
Born in Roscommon, Ireland, she came to the United States in 1924.
Mrs. Smith maintained a close relationship with her Irish family and was much loved by all who knew her. She had an incredible ability to recall and recite poetry. She was always welcoming to the many who came to visit or to stay at her home.
Wife of the late John Smith, a former Milton town employee, she is survived by her daughter, Barbara Smith Fitzgerald and her husband, William, of Milton; her son-in-law, Francis J. Molloy, of Dedham; her grandchildren, John Fitzgerald, Mary Elizabeth Fitzgerald, Mary Ann Molloy, Barbara Darling and Susan Spendley; her great-grandchildren, James, Sarah and Mary Kate; and her sister, Nell Finneran, of Ireland.
She was the mother of the late Mary Smith Molloy and sister of the late James Kelly, John Kelly, Elizabeth Glennon and Maude Glennon.
A Mass of Christian burial was celebrated in St. Elizabeth Church on Sept. 26. Burial was in Milton Cemetery.
