Barbara G. (Bell) Sullivan, of Milton, died Feb. 6 after a brief illness.
Born in Boston, she was a lifelong Milton resident and a graduate of Milton High School.
Mrs. Sullivan was formerly an employee of John Hancock Insurance Co. and a personal secretary to Msgr. Ralph Gallagher, former pastor of St. Agatha Church. She was a 10-year Milton Hospital nurses’ aide volunteer and a former employee of Goldstein & Goldstein law firm.
She was a past Milton High School and John Hancock tennis champion.
She is survived by her husband, Joseph G. Sullivan; her sons, Joseph Sullivan Jr. and his wife, Peggy, of Virginia, Michael Sullivan and his wife, Lee, of Weymouth, and James Sullivan, of Kingston; her granddaughter, Susan Sullivan, of Florida; and many nieces and nephews.
She was the sister of the late Edna Johnson, Veronica Osgood and Rita Killion.
A funeral Mass was celebrated in St. Agatha Church on Feb. 10. Burial was in Milton Cemetery.
