Barbara T. “Barbie” Keenan, 43, formerly of Quincy and Boston, died at Boston Medical Center on March 6.
Born in Boston, she was a graduate of North Quincy High School and attended the University of Massachusetts at Boston.
She was a former letter carrier for the U.S. Postal Service in Quincy and Boston.
She is survived by her mother, Barbara L. (Clark) Keenan, of Wollaston; her siblings, Anthony J. “Joe” Keenan Jr. and his wife, Marianne, James V. Keenan and his dear friend, Darlene, Richard W. Keenan and his wife, Cheryl, and Bryan P. Keenan, all of Quincy, and Steven C. Keenan and his wife, Anne Marie, of Dorchester; her nephews and nieces, Steven C. Keenan Jr., James V. Keenan Jr., Taylor Keenan, Caroline Keenan, Lilly Keenan and Ryan Mahony; her dear friends, Mattie Curran and James O’Brien; and her godmother, Evelyn Cody, of Quincy.
She was the daughter of the late Anthony J. Keenan.
A funeral Mass was celebrated in Sacred Heart Church, North Quincy, on March 13. Burial was private.
