Bonnie M. (Gauthier) Francis died Oct. 11 at St. Elizabeth’s Hospital, Brighton, after a lengthy illness.
Born in Montpelier Vt., she was raised and educated in Dorchester. She had been a resident of Hyde Park for the past 31 years.
Mrs. Francis was a retired legal secretary at the Suffolk County Sheriff’s Department.
She is survived by her husband, Thomas B. Francis Jr.; her children, Thomas B. Francis III, of Dedham, Sean Francis and his wife, Marcia, of Bridgewater, and Kimberly Nellany and her husband, Michael, of Quincy; her grandchildren, Ryleigh, Michael, Daniel, Devin, Matthew and Jason; her siblings, Janet Bouchard, of North Attleboro, Burt Gauthier, of Roslindale, John Gauthier, of Dorchester, Steven Gauthier, of Mashpee, David Gauthier, of Walpole, and Donna Gauthier and Sandy Duarte, both of Middleborough.
A funeral Mass was celebrated in St. Gregory Church, Dorchester, on Oct. 15.
