Catherine G. (McGovern) Connolly, 105, of Milton and North Attleboro, died Oct. 8.

Born in Boston, she was the oldest of three children.

A homemaker, she lived in Milton until she was 97 years old.

She previously worked for various retail stores until she met her late husband, John E. Connolly, at the age of 31. Her husband, who died in 2003, worked for Quincy Business Associates as a mechanic while she raised their son, John E. “Jack” Connolly, who died in 2008.

Mrs. Connolly was a longtime parishioner of St. Mary of the Hills Church. She enjoyed cooking.

She is survived by her daughter-in-law, Patricia A. Connolly, of North Attleboro; her grandchildren, Christopher Connolly and Kerry Connolly, of North Attleboro; and many nieces and nephews.

She was the sister of the late John McGovern and Margaret Wallace.

A funeral Mass was celebrated in St. Mary of the Hills Church on Oct. 14. Burial was in Milton Cemetery.

Arrangements were by the Alfred D. Thomas Funeral Home.
