Catherine M. Malone

Catherine M. (Carroll) Malone died Oct. 12 in Milton Hospital.

Born and raised in Randolph, she resided in Dorchester before moving to Milton 18 years ago. She was educated in the Randolph schools.

Mrs. Malone loved to play bingo.

Wife of the late Douglas E. Malone, she is survived by her children, Raymond Malone and his wife, Mary, James Malone and his wife, Ruth Ann, all of Quincy, Philip Malone, of Braintree, and Paul Malone and his wife, Janet, of Milton; her stepsisters, Helen Girard, of Lynn, Irene Dirksmeir, of Rockland, and Marie Treggiari, of Needham; nine grandchildren, five great-grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

She was the sister of the late Theresa O’Connell.

A funeral Mass was celebrated in St. Agatha Church on Oct. 14. Burial was in Cedar Grove Cemetery, Dorchester.

Donations may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 505 North Parkway, Memphis, TN 38103.
