Catherine Petrakos

Catherine Petrakos, of Quincy, formerly of Milton, died at Hancock Park Nursing & Rehabilitation Center in Quincy on July 13.

Born in Saco, Maine, she was raised in Dover, N.H., where she was a member of the women’s basketball championship team. She later moved to Milton and resided there for more than 30 years. Prior to her retirement, she was the office manager for Conn Organ Co. in Boston.

She is survived by her brother, James Petrakos, of Westwood; and several nieces and nephews and their families.

She was the daughter of the late Peter Petrakos and Pauline (Kmoulakos) Petrakos, and the sister of the late Steven Petrakos and Stella Pappas.

A funeral service was held in St. Catherine’s Greek Orthodox Church, Braintree, on July 18.

Burial was in Forest Hills Cemetery, Boston.
