Charles A. DePascale

Charles A. “Pee Wee” DePascale, 76, died in the Hellenic Nursing Center, Canton, on June 27.
Mr. DePascale was born in Roxbury and was a graduate of Boston College High School, class of 1949; Northeastern College, class of 1965; and Boston State College, where he received a master’s degree in 1968.
He entered the Air Force after high school and served during the Korean War in Germany as a radio operator. After his discharge, he was a basketball coach at Don Bosco High School in Boston and returned to school to begin his teaching career.
He taught math at Don Bosco from 1957 to 1967. He was a math teacher at Canton High School from 1967 until his retirement in 1998. He also coached the girls’ basketball team for several years.
He was the driver’s education instructor at Canton High for over 20 years, retiring earlier this year.
Mr. DePascale is survived by his wife, Peggy (Smyth) DePascale; his children, Charlie A. DePascale and his wife, Lisa, of Eliot, Maine, and Carolynne Warren of Los Angeles; his granddaughter, Mary M. DePascale, of Maine; and his brother, Sal DePascale and his wife, Margie, of Boston.
A funeral Mass was celebrated in St. Mary of the Hills Church on June 30. A private burial followed in Bourne.
Arrangements were by the Chapman, Cole & Gleason Funeral Home.
