Charles E. McCabe, of Milton, died Aug. 30.
Mr. McCabe was a 30-year engineer for the city of Boston. He was also a Navy veteran of World War II and the Korean War.
Husband of the late Helen M. (O’Rourke) McCabe and Eleanor A. (Coughlin) McCabe, he is survived by his children, Charles C. “Chris” McCabe, of Mansfield, and Ellenmarie Gaskell and her husband, Scott; his grandchildren, Kevin McCabe, Kelly McCabe, Annie H. Gaskell and Heather M. Gaskell; his sisters, Mary E. Chane and Rita McCabe, both of Canton; his in-laws, Joseph J. O’Rourke and Ruth G. O’Rourke, of Cohasset, and Owen O’Rourke and Claudette O’Rourke, of Framingham; and many nieces and nephews.
He was the brother of the late James F. McCabe, Thomas J. McCabe and Frederick J. McCabe.
A funeral Mass was celebrated in St. Elizabeth Church on Sept. 4. Burial was in Milton Cemetery.
