Claire Dixon Boyce, a retired professional photographer, died Feb 8.

The daughter of John “Joe” Dixon and Ellen Buchanan Dixon, she lived in Milton for 57 years.

A pioneer in wedding photography who operated her own studio for more than 50 years, she served as vice president of the Massachusetts Photographers Association.

Wife of the late John Boyce Jr., she is survived by her children, Donna Finigan and her husband, George, of Newbury and Hanson, Charles Boyce and his wife, Alison, of Milton, and John Boyce and his wife, Kathy, of Whitman; six grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and her siblings, Marion Lundfelt-Odermatt and Eugene Dixon.

She was the sister of the late John Dixon, George Dixon, Charles Dixon, Robert Dixon, Frederick Dixon, Helen Connors and Ruth Dixon.

A funeral Mass was celebrated in St. Agatha Church on Feb. 12. Burial was in Milton Cemetery.
