Claire E. (Spellman) Gallagher, of Milton and Falmouth Heights, died Feb. 7.
A graduate of St. Gregory’s High School, in Dorchester, Simmons College and Curry College, she was devoted to her children and grandchildren and enjoyed a very full life.
Wife of the late Dr. John F. Gallagher Jr., and daughter of the late George Spellman and Rose (Sullivan) Spellman, she is survived by two daughters, Nancy Gallagher, of Shaker Heights, Ohio, and Susan Fraser and her husband, Richard, of Hopkinton; three sons, John F. Gallagher III and his wife, Cynthia, of Sherborn, Richard S. Gallagher and his wife, Kelly, of Milton, and Stephen D. Gallagher of Midlothian, Va.; a brother, Frank Spellman and his wife, Sue, of Braintree; and two sisters-in-law, Margaret (Gallagher) Vahey, of Milton, and Marie Hynes Gallagher, of Falmouth Heights; 13 grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
A Mass of Christian burial was celebrated in St. Agatha Church on Feb. 11.
