Claire V. Gallagher

Claire V. (Joyce) Gallagher died Nov. 15 at the Brigham and Women’s Hospital.

Born in Worcester, she grew up in Worcester and Milton. She was a resident of Randolph for 40 years, moving to Westwood six years ago.

Mrs. Gallagher was a member of the League of Catholic Women.

Wife of the late Chief Paul F. Gallagher, who was retired from the Navy, she is survived by her daughters, Dianne F. Schnabel, of Wrentham, and Donna M. Gallagher, of Canton; her sisters, Marjorie Duggan, of Reading, and Carol Osgood, of California; and her grandchildren, Scott Schnabel, of Maryland, and Keith Schnabel, of Wrentham.

She was the sister of the late William Joyce.

A funeral Mass was celebrated in St. Agatha Church on Nov. 19. Burial was in Blue Hill Cemetery, Braintree.

Arrangements were by the Alfred D. Thomas Funeral Home.
