Daniel P. Carr, 61, died at his home Jan. 18.

Born in Boston, he was a lifelong resident of Milton. He was a graduate of St. Agatha School and Milton High School.

Mr. Carr was a 40-year employee of Verizon before retiring in 2009.

He is survived by his wife, Nancy (Donovan) Carr; his children, Colleen Donovan Carr, Daniel Paul Carr and Margaret Mary Carr, all of Milton; his sister, Peggy Thibault, of Florida; and his mother-in-law, Josephine Donovan, of South Boston.

A funeral Mass was celebrated in St. Agatha Church on Jan. 22. Burial was in Milton Cemetery.
