Donald T. Malone died March 8 at Walt Disney World in Florida.
Born in Boston, he was raised in Hyde Park and graduated from Roslindale High School. He lived for many years in Jamaica Plain before moving to Milton 12 years ago.
Mr. Malone was employed for 35 years as a campus police chief at the Massachusetts Department of Mental Health.
He was an Army veteran of the Vietnam War.
He was a member of Jamaica Plain American Legion Post #76, the Roslindale Council 1308 of the Knights of Columbus, and the Massachusetts State County Municipal Employees Association.
Mr. Malone is survived by his wife, Frances M. (O’Halloran) Malone; his son, David W. Malone, of Rhode Island; his daughter, Deborah F. Malone, of Milton; his grandchildren, Jessica L. Malone and Travis S. Malone; and his siblings, Patricia Keough and Shirley Richard, both of Marshfield, Judith Souza, of Haverhill, Beverley Malone, of South Bend, Ind., and Thomas Malone and Donna McNeil, both of Connecticut.
He was the brother of the late Ronald Malone.
A funeral Mass was celebrated in St. Agatha Church, Milton on March 12. Burial was in Blue Hill Cemetery, Braintree.
