Doris L. (Henderson) Harrington, 87, of Quincy, died.
Born in Boston, she grew up in Dorchester and was a graduate of St. Gregory Grammar School and St. Gregory High School. She was a 52-year resident of Quincy.
Mrs. Harrington retired as a secretary for the Quincy schools in 1985.
She was a longtime parishioner of St. Agatha Parish, and a former member of the St. Agatha Church Couples Club and the Quincy Garden Club.
Her greatest joy was to spend time with her family. She loved long walks along the beach, especially the beaches of Cape Cod.
She is survived by her husband of 62 years, Francis P. Harrington; her children, Bonnie Tebbetts, of Foxboro, Francis P. Harrington Jr., of Duxbury, Nancy M. Harrington, of Quincy, and Maureen Ferguson, of Williamsville, N.Y.; her brother, Paul T. Henderson, of N.Y.; her sister, Edith Jordan, of Marshfield; seven grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
A funeral Mass was celebrated in St. Agatha Church on Feb. 20. Burial was in Massachusetts National Cemetery, Bourne.
