Dorothy M. (McCormack) O’Neil, 82, died at her home in Milton on June 29.
Mrs. O’Neil graduated from the St. Margaret’s Hospital School of Nursing in 1952. After working for the Smithwick Foundation, she was a school nurse for the Boston public schools for 36 years, the last 20 years at Boston Latin Academy.
After retiring in 1989, she and her husband traveled extensively and enjoyed being with family and friends.
She is survived by her husband, Paul D. O’Neil; her sister, Catherine Hyshak and her husband, Gene, of Ohio; and many nieces, nephews and friends here and in Ireland.
She was the sister of the late John McCormack.
A funeral Mass was celebrated in St. Elizabeth Church on July 2. Burial was in National Cemetery, Bourne.
