Edgar F. Powers, 94, of Milton, died Aug. 15.
Son of the late Edgar Powers and Alexrina (Lyon) Powers, he was the husband for 50 years to Mimi (Sullivan) Powers.
His life was devoted to his wife. They shared many years of happiness together.
Beach lovers, the couple had a summer house in Hampton Beach, N.H. They enjoyed traveling and taking care of their home.
Educated at Greenbrier Military School in Lewisburg, W.Va., Mr. Powers joined the Army in 1940 and was honorably discharged in 1946. He was proud of his years of service and kept in touch with his many Army friends at various reunions.
He was a third-generation owner of his Boston-based family business, Powers Asthma Manufacturing.
He will be remembered as a lovable, sweet and caring person.
A funeral service was held Aug. 19. Burial was in Blue Hill Cemetery in Braintree. |
