Edith M. (Quartarone) Zona, of Milton, died Dec. 21 at the Hellenic Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Canton.

Born in New Bedford 99 years ago, Mrs. Zona resided in Roslindale for many years before she moved to Milton.

She was a former 65-year member of the Sons of Italy and a former member of the Fairview Ladies Lodge.

Wife of the late Pasquale P. Zona, she is survived by her children, Philip R. Zona and Catherine M. Foley, both of Milton, and Phyllis Moody, of Norton; her grandchildren Peter Zona, Elizabeth Anderson, Thomas Moody, Eileen Hosey, Patricia Foley and Kathleen Foley; and six great-grandchildren.

A funeral Mass was celebrated in St. Elizabeth Church on Dec. 23. Burial was private.
