Edmund W. Lukas

Edmund W. Lukas died at New England Sinai Hospital at the Carney Hospital in Dorchester on Aug. 25.

Born in Worcester, he grew up in Holden and graduated from Holden schools and the Wentworth Institute in Boston. Formerly a Dorchester resident, he had lived in Milton for the past 35 years.

Mr. Lukas served as an Air Force flight officer during World War II and was a retired structural draftsman of the Charles T. Main Co. in Boston.

He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Florence T. (Marcinkiewicz) Lukas; his children, Patricia A. McCormack and her husband, Thomas, of Sarasota, Fla., and William B. Lukas and his wife, Hisae, of Milton; his grandchildren, Ian Lukas and Paige Lukas; and his siblings, Amelia Ragis, of South Carolina, and Albert Lukas, of Florida.

A funeral Mass was celebrated in St. Mary of the Hills Church on Aug. 30. Burial was in Milton Cemetery.
