Edna C. Braga, 95, of Quincy, died Dec. 30 at her home.
Born in Manchester, England, on Jan. 29, 1914, she moved to the United States with her family in 1926.
She and her husband, the late Frank Braga, owned and operated the Granite 5 & 10 stores in Milton, Hingham, Holbrook, Brookline, Cleveland Circle, Wollaston and Martha’s Vineyard.
Mrs. Braga was known for her keen mind for business, a loving heart for all people, and a determination and grit that were an inspiration to all who knew her. She was an avid Boston Red Sox fan.
She is survived by her sons, Robert Braga and his wife, Linda, of Hingham, and David Braga and his wife, Sandra, of Marshfield; eight grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
She was the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Samuel Crowther, and sister of the late Fred Crowther and Samuel Crowther.
A memorial service was held in St. Chrysostom’s Episcopal Church, Quincy, on Jan. 7. Burial was private.
