Edward Harkins

Edward Harkins, of Hyde Park, formerly of County Donegal, Ireland, died Feb. 22.

Mr. Harkins was a retired security supervisor for Beacon Management in Boston.

He was a member of the Knights of Columbus Council #00039 in Hyde Park.

Husband of the late Bridie (Fitzmaurice) Harkins, his is survived by his children, Ann Marie Harkins, of Hyde Park, and Edward T. Harkins and his wife, Kristen, of Revere; his grandchildren, Jacob Harkins and Nicholas Harkins; and many nieces and nephews.

He was the brother of the late John Harkins, James Harkins, Michael Harkins and Elizabeth Doherty.

A funeral Mass was celebrated in Most Precious Blood Church, Hyde Park, on Feb. 25. Burial was in Cedar Grove Cemetery, Dorchester.

Arrangements were by the Alfred D. Thomas Funeral Home.
