Edward J. Curran Sr., of Quincy, formerly of Dorchester, died Nov. 24.
He was a longtime Massachusetts Bay Transportation Authority bus driver and a member of Local 589 of the MBTA.
He served in the U.S. Army National Guard.
He is survived by his wife, Catherine (Donovan) Curran; his children, Catherine C. Hayes, of South Weymouth, Edward J. Curran Jr., of Washington, Robert S. Curran, of Groton, Patricia A. DiNocco, of Abington, Christine C. Curran-Cave and Timothy J. Curran, both of Quincy; his mother, Ellen C. (Post) Curran, of Somerville; his siblings, Ellen Galligani, of Plymouth, Thomas Curran, of Maine, Mark Curran, of Florida, and John Curran, of Merrimac; his nephews, Paul Donovan, of Quincy, Daniel Donovan, of Milton; many other nephews and nieces; and his grandchildren, Catherine, Abigail, Jack, Riley, Ryan, Fergus, Madilyn, Meara, Maxson and Jillian.
He was son of the late Mark F. Curran.
A Mass of Christian burial was celebrated in St. Ann Church, Wollaston, on Nov. 30. Burial was in Pine Hill Cemetery.
