Edward M. “Teddy” Mashrick, 63, of Milton, died July 3 as a result of an accident in his home.
Born in Boston, he was a lifelong resident of Milton. He graduated from Milton High School and Suffolk University, and received a master’s degree in education from Antioch College.
Mr. Mashrick was an English teacher at Randolph High School before his retirement in 2002. During his 43 years of teaching, he was a longtime senior-class advisor.
In addition to his teaching duties, he was a security officer for the Cunningham Park Foundation in Milton. He had been employed by the park in excess of 35 years.
He is survived by his children, Thomas M. Mashrick and Daniel E. Mashrick, both of Milton; his sister, Laura Jean Gilbert, of Washington, N.H.; and his brother, John L. Mashrick, of Yarmouthport.
A funeral service was held at the Chapman, Cole & Gleason Funeral Home on July 8.
