Edward T. Clark, 73, died at his home in Chelsea, Vt., on Aug. 13 after a battle with cancer.
Born in Boston, he grew up in South Boston and lived in Milton for many years, prior to his move to Vermont 18 years ago.
Mr. Clark was a retired 20-year Boston police
officer of the Drug Control Unit at police headquarters.
An Army veteran, he was a member of the Knights of Columbus in Bethel, Vt., the Emerald Society and the National Rifle Association.
He is survived by his wife, Catherine E. (Bernat) Clark; his children, Edward T. Clark Jr. and his wife, Tricia, of Middleborough, Kenneth Clark and his friend, Teri Camandona, Paul Clark and his wife, Linda, all of Weymouth, and Robert Clark, of Dorchester; his grandchildren, Edward, Andrew and Patrick Clark, of Middleborough, Kenneth and Stephanie Clark, and Alison, Matthew and Gregory Clark, all of Weymouth; and his sisters, Barbara Keenan and Bernadette Reynolds, both of Quincy.
He was the brother of the late John J. Clark and Richard W. Clark.
A funeral Mass was celebrated in St. Agatha Church on Aug. 18. Burial was private.
