Elaine C. (Curley) Hazelton died at home March 21 after a long illness.
Born in Boston, she was a resident of Dorchester and Quincy and had resided in Milton for the last 17 years. A graduate of St. Gregory High School and Massachusetts General Hospital School of Nursing, she received her Bachelor of Science degree in nursing from the University of Massachusetts and her master’s degree from Boston College.
Most recently the director of psychiatric nursing at Faulkner Hospital, she also worked at Massachusetts General Hospital, Carney Hospital and Milton Hospital.
She is survived by her husband, James E. Hazelton III; her children, Julie Margaret Hazelton, James Emery Hazelton and Jennifer Marie Hazelton; her sister, Mary Lou Donadio, of Quincy; and her nieces and nephews.
She was the sister of the late George W. Curley.
A funeral Mass was celebrated at St. Agatha Church on March 25. Burial was in Milton Cemetery.
