Eleanor B. (Sullivan) Collins, 91, died at the William B. Rice Eventide Home in Quincy on Sept. 5.

Born in Boston, she was a graduate of St. Peter’s Grammar School in Dorchester and a 1938 graduate of Jeremiah Burke High School.

Mrs. Collins was a longtime employee of GTE.

She resided in Milton for more than 50 years and was a member of the St. Agatha Church Couples Club.

Wife of the late Edward P. Collins Sr. and the late John F. Barrett, she is survived by her children, Mary C. Lowney and her husband, Richard, of Weymouth, Theresa A. Collins and her husband, Christopher Coughlan, of Sausilito, Calif., Francis X. Collins and his wife, Mary Jane, of Milton, Edward P. Collins Jr. and his wife, Allyson Powell, of Dighton, Daniel J. Barrett and his wife, Maureen Mullaney, of Ashfield, and Louise C. Collins and Sean Connolly, of Attleboro; her granddaughter, Justine M. Smith and her husband, Jeff, of Sunderland; several other grandchildren; great-grandchildren; and her brother, Joseph G. Sullivan Sr., of Milton.

She was the mother of the late Anne Barrett Rhodenbaugh and sister of the late Mary L. Gannon.

A Mass of Christian burial was celebrated in St. Agatha Church on Sept. 8. Burial was in Milton Cemetery.
