Eugene H. Lorden Jr. died Dec. 3 at the Caritas Good Samaritan Medical Center, Brockton.
Born in Boston 88 years ago, he was a 75-year resident of Milton and a graduate of Milton High School. A Coast Guard veteran of World War II, he served in the Asiatic-Pacific area.
Mr. Lorden was a deputy chief of the Milton Fire Department for over 35 years, retiring in 1985. He also was a real estate broker at Kierman Realty in Randolph for 30 years and Todd A. Sandler Realtors for eight years.
He was a member of Milton American Legion
Post 114, the International Association of
Firefighters #1116, and a former member of the Mass Realty Association.
Husband of the late Virginia M. (Brown) Lorden, he is survived by his children, Gayle M. Neville, Gene H. Lorden III and Gerard F. Lorden, all of Milton; his son-in-law, William Neville; his daughter-in-law, Janet Lorden; and five grandchildren.
He was the brother of the late Marion Lawlor.
A funeral Mass was celebrated in St. Elizabeth Church on Dec. 9. Burial was in Milton Cemetery.
