Evelyn (Dyson) Murray, 96, died July 23 at Parkwell Nursing Home in Hyde Park.
Born February 26, 1914 in Warren, Pa., she was the daughter of late George and Ethel Dyson.
She was the wife of the late George R. Murray, to whom she was married for more than 38 years.
Mrs. Murray was retired from Jordan Marsh where she had been employed for more than 25 years.
Among her favorite pastimes were visiting with friends and playing her piano.
She is survived by her son, Kenneth Murray and his wife, Faye, of Orono, Maine; three grandchildren, Kenneth G. Murray Jr., of Rockland, Paul E. Murray and his wife, Dawn, of Rockland, and Brianna Marie Murray of Orono; six great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
She was the sister of the late Edward Dyson, who was her twin, as well as James Dyson, Warren Dyson and Ethel Person.
A private service will be held for the immediate family.
Arrangements were by the Chapman, Cole & Gleason Funeral Home.
