Francis P. Harrington

Francis P. “Frank” Harrington died June 11.
Born in Boston, he grew up in Dorchester Lower Mills and lived there until his move to Quincy 54 years ago.
A Navy veteran of World War II, he was a retired employee of the Boston public schools, a former employee of Paul Bros. Tire Co. in Dorchester Lower Mills, a member of Lower Mills Post VFW 8699 and a former member of the St. Agatha Couples Club.
Spending time with his family brought him his greatest joy.
An avid sports fan, Mr. Harrington followed the Red Sox, Patriots, Bruins and Celtics, as well as the teams of his grandchildren.
Husband of the late Doris L. (Henderson), he is survived by his children, Bonnie Tebbetts and her husband, Charlie, of Foxboro, Francis P. Harrington Jr. and his wife, Kathy, of Duxbury, Nancy M. Harrington, of Quincy, and Maureen Ferguson and her husband, Jim, of Williamsville, N.Y.; his sisters, Mary Gannon, of Needham, and Catherine Patts, of Holbrook; seven grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
He was the brother of the late John Harrington, Julia Fitzgerald and Helen Sullivan.
A funeral Mass was celebrated in St. Agatha Church on June 15. Burial was in National Cemetery, Bourne.
