Francis X. Norton

Francis X. Norton, of Milton, died July 8 at Brigham & Women’s Hospital, Boston, after a lengthy illness.
Born in Boston, Mr. Norton grew up in Dorchester and had resided in Milton for the past 50 years.
He was the owner of Francis X. Norton, Food Brokers, which was his lifelong occupation.
A Coast Guard veteran of World War II, he was also a Marine veteran of the Korean War.
Mr. Norton was the past president of the Frozen Food Association of New England and the Nazareth Association. He is survived by his wife, Agnes M. (Holzworth) Norton; his children; John F. Norton and his wife, Robin, of Milton, and Susan A. Langill and her husband, Edward, of Braintree; his grandchildren, Christopher, Patrick and Megan Norton, and Amanda, Kathryn and Ryan Langill; and his sister, Claire Burke, of Hingham.
He was the brother of the late John Norton and Mary Cormack.
A funeral Mass was celebrated at St. Elizabeth Church on July 13. Burial was in Milton Cemetery.
