Gerald J. Dorso, of St. Petersburg, Fla., formerly of Duxbury and Lynnfield, died Jan. 7.
Born and raised in New York, he was a retired regional director of Prudential Insurance Co. and a former owner of the Greenhouse Center in Marshfield.
He was a member of the Marshfield Country Club, and Isla Del Sol Country Club in St. Petersburg.
Mr. Dorso was an Army veteran of World War II.
He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Rosita (Palmeri) Dorso; his daughters, Denise D. Casey and her husband, Gregory, and Jeri Screnci, all of Milton; his son-in-law, Peter Screnci, of Plymouth; his grandchildren, Christopher M. Casey, Stephen J. Casey, Jeffrey P. Casey, Peter D. Screnci and Thomas J. Screnci; and his nephew, Daryl DiDio, of New York.
He was the brother of the late Gloria Marciano.
A funeral Mass was celebrated in St. Agatha Church on Jan. 11. Burial was private.
