Gordon W. Wallace, of Milton, died at home Aug. 23.

Born in Portland, Maine, and educated in Maine, he was a 55-year resident of Milton.

He was a retired sea captain and harbor pilot in Boston and New York.

Mr. Wallace was a Navy veteran of World War II.

Husband of the late Florence M. (Kaloustian) Wallace, he is survived by his children, Gordon W. Wallace Jr., Craig K. Wallace and his wife, Susan, all of Braintree, and Nancy Lafianza and her husband, Ron, of Hanover; his sister, Marge Wallace, of Maine; five grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

He was the brother of the late Irving Wallace and Dorothy White.

A funeral Mass was celebrated in St. Agatha Church on Aug. 25. Burial was in Milton Cemetery.

Arrangements were by the Alfred D. Thomas Funeral Home.
