Gregory F. Hebard Sr. died at his home in South Yarmouth on April 15.
Born and raised in Boston, he lived in Milton for over 30 years prior to his move to South Yarmouth.
Mr. Hebard was a graduate of Boston College, Class of 1951. He also earned master’s degrees in education and math.
He retired in 1989 from Framingham High School, where he worked as a teacher for over 25 years.
An Army veteran of World War II, he was a former member of the Knights of Columbus and the Braintree Golf Club.
He is survived by his wife, Elizabeth A. (Madden) Hebard; his children, Gregory F. Hebard Jr., of Milton, Monica Petringa, of Stoughton, Russell A. Hebard, of New Jersey, Elizabeth A. Cameron, of Raynham, and Deirdre Hebard-Antonitis, of Rhode Island; his brother, H. Noel Hebard, of Dorchester; seven grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
He was the brother of the late Grace Brady and Alice Duffy.
A funeral Mass was celebrated at St. Elizabeth Church on April 18. Burial was in Milton Cemetery.
