Honora E. (O’Brien) Ostiguy, of Milton, formerly of South Boston, died Nov. 3.

Born and educated in Boston, she was the daughter of the late James O’Brien and Ruth (Marsh) O’Brien.

Mrs. Ostiguy was a longtime employee at The Boston Co.

A member of the Castle Island Association and the Simon of Cyrene Society, she is remembered for exemplifying all the best qualities of being a wife, mother, grandmother and friend.

She is survived by her husband, William A. Ostiguy; her children, Beverly Curran and her husband, Mark, of Nashua, N.H., Linda Upton and her husband, Bill, of Northwood, N.H., Elaine Woodgate and her husband, Brad, of Duxbury, and Angela Scannell and her husband, Paul, of Milton; her grandchildren, Sadie Buonamano, Michael Buonamano, Allison Curran, Mark Steven Curran, Alicia Buonamano, Peter Ostiguy, Steven Ostiguy, Nathan Ostiguy, Amanda Woodgate, Nicholas Woodgate, Jillian Woodgate, Caroline Scannell, William Scannell and Katherine Scannell; her great-grandchildren, Riley and Michael; and many nieces, nephews and friends.

She was the mother of the late Dr. James M. Ostiguy, mother-in-law of the late Elaine Ostiguy, sister of the late James O’Brien, Ruth Joyce, Frances O’Brien, Phylis Ostiguy and Annabelle Brown, and sister-in-law of the late Joseph L. Ostiguy.

A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated in St. Mary of the Hills Church on Nov. 7. Burial was in Milton Cemetery.
