James McHutcheon

James McHutcheon, of Braintree, formerly of Milton, died at Good Samaritan Hospital in Brockton on Sept. 7.

Mr. McHutcheon was a retired proprietor of bakeries in Georgetown, Ipswich and Dorchester.

He is survived by his children, John P. McHutcheon, of Boxboro, Monica W. McDonough, of Canton, James V. McHutcheon, of Weymouth, and Lucy M. O’Brien, of Billerica; his sisters, Betty McHutcheon, of Ireland, and Kathleen Brophy, of England; 11 grandchildren; and his former wife, Mary J. (Harrington) McHutcheon.

He was the father of the late William J. McHutcheon, and the brother of the late Edward McHutcheon, Brian McHutcheon, William McHutcheon, Patrick McHutcheon, Andrew McHutcheon and Alexander McHutcheon.

A funeral Mass was celebrated in St. Agatha Church on Sept. 10. Burial was in Milton Cemetery.

Arrangements were by the Alfred D. Thomas Funeral Home.
