Jeanne Marie Fitzgerald, 82, of Milton, died at Quincy Medical Center on March 31 after a lengthy illness.
Born and raised in South Boston, she moved to St. Peter’s Parish, Dorchester, until 1972, when she moved to Milton.
Mrs. Fitzgerald was an employee of the Boston School Department for several years.
Wife of the late Edward F. Fitzgerald Jr., she
is survived by her children, James E. Fitzgerald,
Nancy J. Fitzgerald, John K. Fitzgerald and Jane E. Fallon, all of Milton, Edward F. Fitzgerald III, of Weymouth, Paul A. Fitzgerald, of Westwood and David M. Fitzgerald of Dorchester; 11 grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. She was the mother-in-law of Carmel Fitzgerald, Ellen Fitzgerald, Leigh Ann Fitzgerald, Terry Fitzgerald and Michael Fallon.
She was the sister of the late Ann Bodnaruk.
A Mass of Christian burial was celebrated in St. Mary of the Hills Church on April 4. Burial was in St. Joseph Cemetery, Boston.
