John J. Foley |
John J. “Jack” Foley, 85, died in Renaissance Gardens at Brooksby Village, Peabody, on Nov. 17. Born in Boston, he resided in Milton for more than 25 years. Mr. Foley retired from both Gilchrist Department Stores and Boston City Hospital. Husband of the late Anne M. (Dacey) Foley, he is survived by his brother, David W. Foley and his wife, Philomena, of Peabody; his sister-in-law, Mary McLaughlin, of Milton; and many nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews. He was the brother of the late Martin Foley and George Foley. A funeral Mass was celebrated in St. Elizabeth Church, on Nov. 20. Burial was in Milton Cemetery. Donations may be made to Brooksby Village Benevolent Fund, 310 Brooksby Village Drive, Peabody, MA 01960. Arrangements were by the Alfred D. Thomas Funeral Home. |
