John J. Livingstone

John J. “Doc” Livingstone died May 31 at his home.
Born in Somerville, he grew up in Dorchester and lived for many years in Milton, Quincy and most recently Middleborough.
Mr. Livingstone served four years in the Navy during the Korean War.
He was an employee of South Shore Bank before his retirement in 1993.
He was a member of the McKeon Post in Dorchester and the Kiwanis Club of Quincy.
He was an avid saltwater fisherman, traveling to Costa Rica, Panama, Belize and the British Virgin Islands.
He is survived by his wife Gail (Maloney-Peterson) Livingstone; his son, Jack Livingstone and his wife, Rita, of Melrose; his daughters, Ann Marie Dorsey and her husband, Robert, of Milton, Jane Ricardi and her husband, Philip, of Kingston, and Lisa Veronneau and her husband, Mark, of Staffordsville, Ky.; his brothers, Stanley Livingstone, of Quincy, Francis Livingstone, of Yarmouth, and David Livingstone, of Hyde Park; many grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.
He was the former husband of the late Marie (Clark) Livingstone.
Funeral services were held June 7 in Plymouth. Burial was in Massachusetts National Cemetery, Bourne.
