John W. “Jack” Barry died April 17.
Born in Boston, he lived in Milton for the past 38 years. He formerly lived in Dorchester.
Mr. Barry was an Army veteran of the Vietnam era, a retired employee of the Boston Edison Co., and a former employee of the city of Quincy.
He is survived by his wife, Carol A. (McCarthy) Barry; his children, Gregory J. Barry, of Quincy, Scott M. Barry, of Milton, and Kara E. Zimmerman and her husband, Mark, of Randolph; his brothers and sisters, Kathleen Collins and Maureen Barry, both of Quincy, Robert Barry, of Hanover, Francis Barry, of Wareham, and Richard Barry, of Florida; and his sister-in-law, Eleanor McCarthy.
He was the brother of the late Betty Barry, Joseph Barry and Michael Barry.
A funeral Mass was celebrated in St. Agatha Church on April 23. Burial was in Milton Cemetery.
Arrangements were by the Alfred D. Thomas Funeral Home.
