Joseph G. “Jerry” Murphy Jr., of Milton, died at home May 26.
Born in Boston, he was a graduate of Boston College High School, Boston College, and Northeastern University, where he received a Master of Public Administration degree.
Mr. Murphy is survived by his wife, Mary (Walsh) Murphy; his parents, Joseph G. Murphy, Esq., and Mary T. (Keaney) Murphy, of Milton; his siblings, Mark F. Murphy, Esq., and his wife, Patricia, of Wellesley, Marybeth Pepin and her husband, Stephen, of Milton, and Brian P. Murphy, Esq., and his wife, Katherine, of Cambridge; his aunts, Patricia A. Keaney, of Milton, and Alice Thavis, of Minnesota; his uncle, Francis M. Keaney, of Florida; his sister-in-law, Margaret Naughton, of Milton; his brothers-in-law, Martin Walsh, of Milton, and Sean Walsh, of Galway, Ireland; and many nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews.
He was the brother-in-law of the late Thomas Walsh.
A funeral Mass was celebrated in St. Agatha Church on May 29. Burial was in Milton Cemetery.
