Kevin C. Tierney, 51, of Boston, formerly of Milton, died May 22.

Mr. Tierney was a deeply appreciative friend to his generous and kind workplace colleagues at the Suffolk County Registry of Deeds.

He is survived by his mother, Marjorie A. Tierney, of Duxbury; his siblings, John L. Tierney and his wife, Jane, of Lincoln, James E. Tierney, of Quincy, Judith Coneeny and her husband, John, of Kingston, David B. Tierney and his wife, Joy, of Kingston, Jacqueline Nolan and her husband, Jeff, of Hingham, and Elaine Johnson and her husband, Glenn, of Hingham.

He was the son of the late John J. Tierney Jr.

A Mass of Christian burial was celebrated in St. Agatha Church on May 27. Burial was in Milton Cemetery.
