Leda F. Aylward

Leda F. “Lee” (Roffo) Aylward, of Milton, died at home Nov. 9.

Born and raised in Quincy, she had lived in Milton for more than 40 years.

The president of the Milton Merchants, she was a Eucharistic minister and longtime parishioner of St. Agatha Church and an unselfish community volunteer.

Mrs. Aylward enjoyed playing golf and tennis, and with her late husband L. Michael Aylward attended all of her grandchildren’s sporting events, as well as those of many local teams.

A loving supportive wife and mother, her life was filled with family and many friends. She will be missed by all who knew her.

She is survived by her children, Michael Aylward and his wife, Debra, of Hanover, James Aylward and his wife, Susie, of Rockland, Joan Aylward, of Watertown, and Glen Aylward and his wife, Robyn, of East Bridgewater; her grandchildren, Stephen Melchin, Michael Aylward, Kerri Aylward, Richard Aylward, Colin Aylward, Samantha Aylward, Kevin Aylward and Kalan Aylward; her sister, Vilma Rufo, of Brighton; and her brother, Daniel Roffo, of Quincy.

She was the mother of the late Kevin Aylward and the sister of the late Onelio Roffo and Angelo Roffo.

A funeral Mass was celebrated in St. Agatha Church on Nov. 13. Burial was in Milton Cemetery.
